Provincial Tax Department said that in the first 6 months of 2021, the province’s collection of personal income tax reached 64.7% compared to the year’s estimate assigned by the Ministry of Finance (MoF). Particularly, provincial Tax Department collected more than VND 3.56 trillion in personal income tax or 109.7% compared to the same period last year. Of these, personal income taxes from wages increased insignificantly and they were mainly from real estate transfer.
According to the local tax agency, real estate market has become more active. The income from real estate transfer of individuals operating in this field also increased significantly, leading to an increase in personal income tax over the past six months. In addition, the local tax agency applied many measures to manage tax collection for income earners such as the application of a centralized tax management system, thereby improving the efficiency of revenue exploitation. The number of taxpayers and declarers also increased significantly.
