In the first half of 2010, the province’s woodwork export turnover reached more than US$603mln, increasing by 14.1% compared to the same period last year and accounting for 17.6% of the province’s total export turnover.

Woodwork takes lead in the province’s key export products

This is also the industry with the highest export value among the province’s key export industries. Products of province-based woodwork businesses are currently present in more than 100 countries and territories.

The province is now home to more than 500 woodwork businesses, creating jobs for more than 120,000 laborers. It is estimated that the industry needs around 11,000 or 15,000 laborers annually.
