Despite the impacts of the global economic downturn, the province’s authorities and people successfully made the rural traffic making-urban rejuvenation movement in 2010. Particularly, there were 180% of the number of works and 212% of total investment capital implemented from the projection in early 2010…

 

Thanks to the local people’s consensus, Binh Duong has a lot of spacious rural traffic works

   TDM town took lead in the movement with 301 works of 35.7km implemented with total expense of VND16.4bln, followed by Ben Cat district with 128 works of 83.3km with total expense of 63.4bln and Tan Uyen district with 36 works of 42.2km with total expense of VND20.4bln. The remaining localities also exceeded the targets for the movement last year.

 Possibly speaking, the above-mentioned success came from the consensus between the local authorities and people in realizing the movement.

 Further lighting the flame of the movement

 Last year, localities and individuals in the province were honored for their excellent performance in the movement of the rural road making and urban rejuvenation.

 Provincial Department of Transport and Public Works has also suggested to rename the “movement of rural road making and urban rejuvenation” into the “movement of rural road marking under management of communes, wards and townships” whiling proposing new standards and forms of the emulation-reward activities for the movement.

Accordingly, provincial People’s Committee will consider and assess the local works on rural traffic and urban rejuvenation, based on investment capital, scale, standard, operational efficiency…for ranking. In addition to the certificates of merit from provincial People’s Committee Chairman, first ranking at provincial level will be awarded VND500mln; second ranking, VND400mln and third ranking, VND300mln.

 Each district or town will be allowed to sort out 3 communes or wards in order to suggest provincial People’s People to consider and give the certificates of merit together cash to further invest into their rural traffic works with the bonus level as follows: first ranking, VND150mln; second ranking, VND150mln and third ranking, VND100mln…

 The above emulation-reward proposals will be an energy resource to blow up the flame of the movement that has been implemented successfully by the province for 14 years.
