Di An district’s An Binh commune People’s Committee chairman Vo Van Them, said “An Binh is home to over 45,000 immigrant laborers and it is expected that nearly 50% of local immigrant laborers will enjoy Tet away from home. To help the people enjoy Tet shopping, the commune will hold a spring market at Binh Duong hamlet from lunar Dec. 20, 2009 to lunar Jan. 3rd, 2010. The Spring market will include many items of confectionary, shoes, clothes and so on with the reasonable prices”.

He added that the commune would hold spring festivals across hamlets with numerous activities of music performances, film presentation and the local authority would spend VND5mil for each hamlet to organize parties for immigrant workers.
