People’s Committee leaders
have just checked up capital construction in Thuan An District which has been
promoted by active leadership and lower prices of materials. However, obstacles
still remain.
In 2010, total capital construction including traffic, technology and social wealth fare, is accounted for VND 339.9 billion mobilized from different sources.
By the end of May 2010, VND 138.1 billion was paid out to meet 40.6% of the year’s projection while handing-over amount was VND 134.3 billion or 39.51% of the projection. Accordingly, distribution value was VND 127.1 billion or 37.40% of the project. Estimation for the end of June 2010 showed that paying-out value will reach 58% with distribution value of VND 186.4 billion.
People’s Committee Standing Deputy Chairman Le Thanh Cung highly appreciated the results that were thanks to synchronized efforts and cooperation of the people and authority leadership.
Thuan An People’s Committee Deputy Chairman Dang Van Ba stressed on favorable conditions of leadership and materal prices for their promotion of construction.
Beyond from investment promotion for socio-economic development, local authority also concentrated on remodeling of urban area. In 2010, local authority will construct 25 new sites with over VND 30 billion of investment. Meanwhile, dredging has cost VND 11.11 billion and school facilities renew is expected to cost VND 4.9 billion. On the other hand, site clearance and compensation tasks were still slow. In the first 6 months of 2010, Thuan An authority has concentrated on listing and pricing of compensation costs at VND 24.8 billion for 252 construction profiles managed by the district. As for province-sponsored construction, some VND 13,458 billion was paid to 78 profiles affected by My Phuoc – Tan Van road construction while some VND 27.83 billion was paid to 23 profiles.
Thuan An People’s Committee Chairman Tran Thanh Liem confirmed remaining obstacles in terms of compensation, site clearance, and fluctuation of material prices. So as to remove the mentioned obstacles, he called for resolution by proposing to provincial People’s Committee measures for completion of projected plans. People’s Committee Standing Chairman praised up results of Thuan An Party Committee, authority, and people in the face of mingled advantage and disadvantage.
