Vietnam’s biggest paper plant puts into operation

Thailand SCG Corporation and Japanese Rengo Corporation yesterday held an opening ceremony of Vina Kraft Pulp Company, the biggest pulp plant in Vietnam at My Phuoc 3 IP.

The factory has an investment capital of US$180 million with the capacity of 220,000 tonnes of packaging paper a year, mainly serving for Vietnam market. The plant’s EU technology waste treatment system alone has a total investment capital of US$10mil. The plant has placed jobs for 200 laborers.

Speaking at the ceremony, Le Thanh Cung, vice chairman of the provincial People’s Committee highly valued the birth of the plant and hoping that the factory will reap successes in the province.
