   Crocodile – new breed for farmers in Dau Tieng district.The agricultural economics of Dau Tieng has achieved considerable outcomes thanks to prosperous land areas and water source. Husbandry has been combined with planting to maximize economic values.

Emerging out from the husbandry models is raising chicken in cool condition which requires big initial investment but can ensure net income of over VND 100 million in 4 stages of the year. This model is established by 2007 but in proves to be a suitable and efficient model in Dau Tieng.

Meanwhile, model of milk cow, of which farmer can earn VND 30-40 million per cow, has strongly developed with more meadows to feed the cows.

The model of high scale pig husbandry offers over VND 2 million of monthly salary to workers and maintain incomes for farmers.

Moreover, many other models are formed in Dau Tieng district including breeding of porcupine, trionychid turtle, half-blood boar, crocodile, etc.

“Recently, husbandry in the district has made new breakthrough including the forming of new husbandry models and clubs that effectively promote local farmers,” said Mrs. Le Van Anh who is official of Farmer Association in Dau Tieng District. She informed that in the coming time, the association will start supporting programs for farmers to make loans and form their own farms and maintain the clubs and technology transfer.
