  On Dec 4th, Provincial People's Committee held a ceremony to award the title of "Artisan of Binh Duong Province", "Excellent craftsman of Binh Duong Province" in 2020. The ceremony had Nguyen Thanh Truc, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee. 

The recognition of "Artisan of Binh Duong Province", "Excellent craftsman of Binh Duong Province" plays an important role in recognizing, praising and honoring the contributions of good artisans and craftsmen who are dedicating talents, wisdom and effort to the restoration, preservation and development of traditional crafts and villages in the province. This recognition is held every 3 years. In 2020 alone, the province has 26 artisans and 4 craftsmen were recognized. 

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen acknowledged the efforts and results of artisans and craftsmen in the province. He expects these craftsmen continue maintaining and developing their professions, actively transferring the professions to young generation, restoring traditional crafts and attracting new ones to the province to contribute to the preservation, development of traditional crafts, villages, and socio-economic development of the province. 

He asked departments, branches, people's committees of districts, towns and cities to create favorable conditions for artisans and craftsmen to freely create; mobilize well resources to invest in infrastructure construction in rural areas in accordance with the orientation of socio-economic development. He also asked branches and municipalities to promptly detect, commend, award organizations and individuals having good practices, creative models; to support the development of traditional villages and rural industries in order to preserve and develop crafts, traditional cultural values of the province.
