Despite the complicated developments of Covid-19 pandemic, many foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises in the first 5 months of 2021 have continued increasing investment capital in province-based industrial parks (Ips), according to provincial Ips’ Management Board.
Particularly, province-based Ips attracted over US$ 1.16 billion in FDI capital. Of the total figure, there were nearly US$286million from 25 new FDI projects, nearly US$ 286 million from extra-ones and nearly US$ 187 million from 51 projects with capital contributed by foreign investors. According to the plan, in 2021, province-based industrial parks are expected to attract about US$ 1.2 billion in FDI capital. The figure as of May 15 reached nearly 99.34% of the year’s plan. Up to now, the local IPs have attracted 2,541 FDI projects with total registered capital of US$ 25 billion.
