Provincial Association for the Blind held a get-together for its members to mark the 42nd anniversary of the Vietnam Association for the Blind (April 17, 1969-April 17, 2011).

 At the get-together, members of provincial Association for the Blind had a chance to review the development history of the Vietnam Association for the Blind.

 Although having a late establishment in 1985, provincial Association for the Blind has reaped achievements in all fields, including production, job creation… So far, the affiliates of the association have been developed across 7 districts and towns of the province. There have been more than 93% of blind people admitted into the association.

 The association has also mobilized donors to build 155 unity houses worth VND1.5bln for its members; opened vocational training courses with a total expense of nearly VND200mln, funded by charity organizations and the Vietnam Disable People of Production and Trading; helped 2,000 members get a loan of nearly VND6bln on credit to develop home-based business…
