Industrial parks ranking is considered vital in the face of highly competition among them nation wide as a whole and within one province. Binh Duong province is planned with 28 industrial parks, and therefore, is a step forward in ranking industrial parks and enhancing competitiveness.
Ranking of industrial parks gives investors chances to construct trade name and acquire information about infrastructure and attached services investment. Ranking is also helpful in reinforcing and enhancing business operation of industrial parks and investment luring.
Dong Nai province is one of the first localities to initiate industrial parks ranking criteria as confirmed by Mr. Vo Thanh Lap – chief of Dong Nai Industrial Parks Authority. The criteria are supported by prestige economic experts. Ranking of industrial parks is necessary to develop them while considering competitive factors. Up to date, 3 industrial parks in Dong Nai Province meet the standards including Bien Hoa II IP, Amata IP, and Loteco IP.
Dong Nai authority is working on the criteria to be proposed to Ministry of Planning and Investment to do research on and apply to industrial parks nation wide. The mention criteria include software (industries, human resources, etc. to attract investment) and hardware (infrastructure).
Of the 28 industrial parks in Binh Duong Province, 26 ones are operating with 1,500 investment projects and over 1,100 enterprises. The more industrial parks are established, the more competitive they are; therefore investors are making efforts to refine themselves with outstanding investment luring.
Binh Duong authority will earn from image building of industrial parks which are demanding highly intellectual investment projects with less manual labor exploitation and environment risks. Thus, it is necessary to rank industrial parks.
