Increasing tra fish exports to Russia

Tra fish exports to Russia have picked up again after temporarily suspended in late 2009, reported a committee overseeing tra fish exports to Russia.

In March and April, businesses exported 12,000 tonnes of tra fish to Russia, earning more than US$25 million, a fourfold rise over the same period last year, said Duong Ngoc Minh, head of the committee.

 

Tra fish exports to Russia now sell for US$1.75 per kg, up 5 percent from 2009.

 

Minh added that exports to this market are expected to reach $100 million in 2010.
