Following the “sharing itinerary with P&G and Metro” program, right in early days of 2010 P&G VN and Metro Cash & Carry bring an early Spring to the poor. Specifically, the two companies grant 2,010 health insurance cards to the poor.
At Metro An Phu in HCMC on Dec.19, 2009, the program was started from Metro An Phu to Metro Thang Long in Ha Noi and Metro Da Nang. In this itinerary, P&G VN Ltd. and Metro Cash & Carry VN Ltd. took their clients to disadvantaged families at the 3 above locations. The move aimed to help clients learn and share with the unlucky. The first charity journey was departed from Metro An Phu to the poor in HCMC’s district 4 with the participation of reps of P&G VN Ltd, Metro Cash & Carry VN Ltd. and brand name ambassadors of Miss Mai Phuong Thuy and singer Ha Anh Tuan. The program has over the past three years gained great support from customers nationwide. With the New Year gift of 2,010 health insurance cards for the poor, Metro Cash & Carry and P&G hope to assist the unlucky.
For a better life
P&G VN Ltd. with the motto of “For a better life for Vietnamese customers” has over the past 15 years perfected and developed its mission in Vietnam in a bid to offer hi-quality products and involve in community activities for the sake of the society’s common development.
“Over the past 3 years, we in cooperation with Metro Cash & Carry VN’s clients have held a community activity program named “Sharing itinerary with P&G and Metro” at the beginning of the year. In this year, we will grant health insurance cards to the poor nationwide”, said Le Thi Thanh Ha, vice general director of P&G VN Ltd.
P&G VN Ltd is a member of P&G Corporation located at Cincinnati, Ohio, the US. P&G has started its operation in Vietnam since 1995 with the chartered capital of over US$80mil. The company has a global standard production factory at Binh Duong province with numerous brand names of Pantene, H&S, Rejoice, Tide, Downy, Olay, Gillette, Camay, Safeguard, Whisper, Pampers and Oral B. aside from efforts for business, P&G VN Ltd. also positively involves in community activities.
To say, its program named “Giving good things to receive 3 good fortunes” in Spring 2007 lured over 17,000 clients. The company granted more than VND100mil to SOS Vietnam Village. In Spring 2008 it continued holding a program themed “making good things in early year to enjoy good luck for whole year” to present 2,008 new clothes for children of SOS Vietnam Village. And in Spring 2009, the “Sharing itinerary with P&G and Metro” program with charity journeys started for a series of gift visits to SOS Villages nationwide.
On average, P&G annually spends over VND1bil (excluding gifts) to community and charity activities in the province and cities and provinces nationwide.
Till Spring 2010 of this year, more than 2,000 health insurance cards are given to the poor. It is hoped that the tradition will be expanded to help more disadvantaged people nationwide.
