The Vietnam Commercial Bank’s Binh Duong branch (VCB) held a conference for laborers 2009 on Jan. 23. In the past year, despite the global economic crisis, the branch’s collectives and staff exceeded the entrusted plans. Specifically, it reached VND5,118bil in total capital, a 22% rise over 2008, of which mobilized capital won over VND3tril, a 34% rise, lending turnover of VND11tril, total outstanding loan of more than VND4tril, a 16% increase over 2008.

As of late 2009, VCB set up relations with more than 1,500 businesses and over 142,000 individuals. In this year, the branch strives to surge 30% of mobilized capital, reaching VND3,953bil and so on.

Also the past year, the branch ensured policies for laborers, raising material and spiritual life for them. On the occasion, many collectives and individuals were awarded merit certificates.
